He discusses in detail the cleaning the teeth and gums and the medicinal properties of various plants used in tooth-powder including the areca nut, betel leaves, piper betel, as well as James Lynd's observations on the areca and betel and a note on prepared charcoal.The hand coloured engraving illustrates the plants Areca Cathecu and the Piper Betle.
