C[ockerell] from J.H. 29.5.49", 190x100mm., the other of aquilegia, unsigned; original pencil drawing, head of a sleeping beauty, signed and inscribed to Sydney Cockerell, 90x 110mm.; Hassall, Joan To William Maxwell, upon the success of his endeavours to obtain a grant of £400 to buy equipment for the book-production class in the College of Art, Edinburgh, 1943.
