Note: One of 50 copies on large paper, reserved for the use of the author, and distributed by him to his friends. In this case it is inscribed to "Jock & Bridget with warm regards from Evelyn." The recipients were Sir John and Lady McEwen of Marchmont House, Berwickshire. Included is a copy of a letter from Bruce Ritchie to Auberon Waugh inquiring as to the recipients' identity and Auberon Waugh's signed reply identifying them as the McEwens.
