London: Leonard Smithers, 1896 (January-December). 8 volumes, edited by Arthur Symons, plates and illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley, and others, Beardsley's Christmas card design loosely inserted, volumes 1 and 2 in original pink boards and 3-8 in original green wrappers, volume 1 a little foxed, some loss to spines and some soiling, chipping and fading to covers and boards, covers of volume 4 detached and repaired, lower cover of volume 3 detached and covers repaired (8)

Note: The Savoy was conceived by Leonard Smithers as a rival to The Yellow Book, from which Beardsley had just been dismissed. Smithers sought out the poet Arthur Symons as editor and Aubrey Beardsley as art editor.
