A selection of 7 maps of Scotland after Timothy Pont, comprising of: Blaeu Sterlinensis praefectura. Amsterdam: after 1655, 550x621mm (engraved area 520x410 mm), Latin text on reverse, closed tear along central fold, slightly dampstained; [Blaeu] Buthe insula. Amsterdam: after 1655, 500x623mm (engraved area 500x388mm), Latin text on reverse, a little dust-soiled with slight dampstaining; [Blaeu] Skia... the Yle of Skie. Amsterdam: after 1655, 616x500mm (engraved area 525x410mm), Latin text on reverse, a little dust-soiled with dampstain to upper centre; [Blaeu] Arania. Amsterdam: after 1655, 621x506mm (engraved area 520x386mm), Latin text on reverse, a little dust-soiled with slight dampstain; [Blaeu] Vistus insula [Uist]. Amsterdam:after 1655, 620x530mm (engraved area 580x447mm), Latin text on reverse, slight dust-soiling and darkening; [Blaeu] Cunninghamia. Amsterdam: after 1655, hand-coloured in outline with impressive hand-coloured cartouche and vignette, 562x440mm (engraved area 550x423mm), no text on reverse, some darkening, chipping around edges with some loss to map border; [Blaeu] Nithia vicecomitatus, the Shirifdome of Nidis-Dale. Amsterdam: 1654, hand-coloured in outline with elaborately hand-coloured cartouches and vignette, 626x523mm (engraved area 581x385mm), Latin text on reverse, very browned with some spotting, masking tape on reverse where map has been mounted (7)
