London: Marcus Ward & Co., 1893. 8vo, half-title, original? brown cloth with title and author's name in gilt to spine, stamp of 'The Surveyor of Customs and Excise, Montrose, Angus' to reverse of half-title, along with signature of customs and excise officer in 1968, signature of James A. Beatty to title page, dated March 1900, occasional spotting, mostly marginal, and a little darkening to endpapers, covers a little soiled, rubbed and frayed along spine and at corners
