The Kings Majesties declaration to his subjects, concerning lawfull sports to be used. London: Robert Barker, 1633. Small 4to, old half roan, leaf A1 misbound at end, small portions of this and the preceding leaves cut away, lacks final blank, small hole in C2, some stains, [STC 9257]

Note: At the foot of the title is a note "these bookes were burnt at London by ye hand of ye common ha[ng]man, by authority of ye Parliament [?] 1641" In the work activities allowed, after the end of divine service, include "dancing, either men or women, archery for men, leaping, vaulting, or any such harmless recreation, May-Games, Whitson Ales and Morris Dances, and the setting up of Maypoles" while still probibited are "Beare and Bullbaitings and at all times in the meaner sort of people... bowling."
