Description
The laws and acts of parliament made by King James the (I) and his royal Successors Kings of Scotland. Edinburgh: printed by David Lindsay, 1681. First edition, folio, title printed in red and black and with cut-down mounted to size engraved portraits of Scottish monarchs, ruled in red throughout, contemporary Edinburgh binding, red morocco with elaborate gilt tooling of stylised foliage and flowerhead motifs, including thistles, [ESTC R15415; Wing S1265], some marginal spotting and soiling, occasional small tears to foremargins, no loss of text, couple of small scrapes and gouge marks to lower board
