MacKail, J.W. The Life of William Morris. London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1899. 2 volumes, 8vo, original cloth, with three letters laid-down to flyleaves/initial pages, comprising: Morris, William ALS to Mr Pease, dated 1st April '86 on Kelmscott House notepaper, arranging to meet and discuss a "project"; Morris, William ALS to Mr Pease, dated April 23rd, on Kelmscott House notepaper, explaining that he has not had time to write a paper but asking whether, "...if any possibility [his] paper on Gothic Architecture would do..."; Morris, May [Mary], daughter of William Morris ALS to Mr Pease, dated 1. Nov. 1934, on Kelmscott Manor notepaper, thanking him for his, "...kind donation to the Hall Fund..." and writing that it was nice to have seen him the previous week at a gathering, confiding: "I sometimes almost felt that my father was present at this little festival in his honour..."
