Footnote
Note: Richard Mithon [or Mython], Sire of Froideville, was the bailli of the comté (shire) of Eu, a former shire of the Duchy of Normandy. A bailli was the king's administrative representative during the ancien régime in northern France. Froideville does not refer to the present town in Switzerland, but to a place in Northern France which is now called Mers-les-Bain, very close to the town of Eu, where the Mithons owned a lot of land.
