G.' on front panel), half-title, title-page with wood-engraved figurative initial, publisher's device printed in red, and manuscript annotation ('No 5'), 32 wood-engravings each on separate page, light browning, dust jacket with a few chips and damp-stains [Evan Gill 410]
Note: This book was published by H. D. C. Pepler 'entirely without Gill's knowledge and consent' (Evan Gill) following Gill's acrimonious resignation from the Guilds of Sts Joseph and Dominic and his departure for Capel-y-ffin in Wales.
