Footnote
Note: Hjalmar Mörner (1794-1837) travelled in Europe studying art in 1816-29, staying in Rome with the Swedish sculptor Johan Niclas Byström, where he made this finely detailed depiction of the Roman carnival. A few copies were hand-coloured by the artist.
