Footnote
Provenance: from the collection of George A. Zabriskie
Note: A small archive of letters, mainly sent by Herbert Hoover (31st President of the United States of America, 1929-1933) to George A. Zabriskie. Several of the letters are formal and politically orientated, however the majority speak of a good and developing friendship between the two men. It seems that Zabriskie would regularly send Hoover small birthday and Christmas gifts of Florida grapefruits and oranges, and (on occasion) his own finely bound books.
