Edinburgh: Adrian Watkins, 1754. 8vo (19 x 11.5cm), A-3R8, contemporary red-brown morocco, spine gilt with dotted saltires and interstitial floral tools, covers richly gilt with outer frame of stylised zig-zag tools enclosing central motif of a column of 8 floral roundels with projecting lobes comprising fleurons within dotted semicircles, and an intermediate band of heart motifs with hatched infill, the whole on a ground of floral tools and a semé of massed dots, bookplate (John McSymon), manuscript genealogies to endpapers and blanks, free endpaper removed, small tear to R3 affecting side-note verso;
