Description
London: Fulcrum Press, 1966. First edition, one of 100 copies in cloth (from the total edition of 500, of which 26 were specially bound and lettered A-Z, and the rest bound in wrappers), this copy inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper ‘For David Barnet, Basil Bunting’, 4to, original black cloth, spine lettered in gilt, title page in red and black with medieval-style text and decorative border, the border repeated together with rubricated initial on 5 pages of text, 2 full-page pointillé illustrations in red, dust jacket. Pale mottling to rear board, endpapers slightly spotted, endpapers, half-title and colophon leaf with faint rectangular stains in fore margins, offsetting from decorative border on title-page, a little spotting elsewhere, dust jacket sunned along spine and top edge of each panel
