Group of 4 prints from original 1840s calotype negatives by Hill and Adamson: Henry Scott Liddell produced by Jessie Bertram between 1916 and 1920, John Dick Peddie, John Stuart-Wortley, 2nd Baron Wharncliffe, and Georgina Baroness Wharncliffe, and one print of an unidentified man (ref. David Octavius Hill & Robert Adamson SNPG), all framed other than Wharncliffe image; together with 5 silver gelatin photographs mounted on loose album pages and 2 unmounted silver gelatin photographs with slight edge tears. All 20 x 15cm, excluding frames and mounts, Peddie print has minor surface abrasions (11)
Formerly owned by the Late Murray Mackinnon, a renowned collector of photography documenting Scottish life from the mid-19th to early-20th century.
