THE LIBRARY OF DR ANDREW G. FRASER MD FSA SCOT (1937-2020)
Early Amsterdam edition, 'the prettiest and the most complete of the Dutch reprints' (Willems), of one of the most important and extensive travel accounts of Asia and the Middle East published in the 17th century. There was also a near-identical later edition, distinguished by the substitution of a fleuron for the two-line errata at the end of the first volume. The second volume contains 27 plates, whereas Willems calls for 24 only.
