Oxford: Henry Cripps, 1638. Folio (28 x 18cm), contemporary sprinkled calf ruled in blind, half-title (with 'The Argument of the Frontispiece' verso), engraved allegorical title-page by C. Le Blon, woodcut and type-ornament headpieces, woodcut initials, binding rebacked with endpapers renewed (possibly in the early 19th century), worn, joints cracked, intermittent damp-staining to corners, occasional spotting and browning becoming more frequent towards rear, half-title extended at lower outer corner, small nick to foot of engraved title, 2L1 slit for cancellation, 3O1 with part of upper margin torn away affecting headline, 3X3 with small hole, 5A2-3 with softening and marginal loss to lower outer corners, the same area in terminal leaf 5A4 cleanly cut away with no loss of text [ESTC S122250; STC 4163]
