Provenance:
Keyssler's work with two contemporary notes laid in: a letter to Patrick Home of Billie (1728-1808) dated 1761, inviting him to a meeting of the proprietors of the concert hall on Canongate, Edinburgh; and a note reading 'Mr Cockburne ... begs to know if he left upon the table of Mr Home's room, yesterday, the print of the Coronation Periwig - perhaps that felonious dog Kennedy purloined it'.
