London: T. Preston; Edinburgh: G. Thomson; Volumes 1-4, folio, engraved frontispiece in volume 1 and 2 and 4, engraved titles, engraved music, each title page signed by G. Thomson, original blue-grey pictorial wrappers with grey spines, spines worn; volume 1 does not have the engraved or printed music for p.51 in the correct place but has the printed pages for p.52 and 54 pasted to the front and rear endpaper; volume 2 has the printed text for p. 54 and 52 pasted onto the endpapers;
volume 3 has the printed text for p. 53 and 51 pasted onto the endpapers;
volume 4 has the printed text for p. 54 and 51 pasted onto the endpapers; on each of these pasted down leaves is the neat contemporary, probably original, ink inscription 'Specimen of the Welsh Songs'
