containing some 550 snapshot-style gelatin silver print photographs, depicting temples, street scenes, river views, locals and local life including trades and agriculture (posed and unposed), and the photographer and his milieu, in Java (Jakarta, Bandoeng/Bandung), Bali (Kintamani, Sibetan, Denpasar, Sukawati, etc.), Singapore, (including Pulau Ubin), Malaya/Malaysia (Johore, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Seramban, etc.), and elsewhere, mainly 11 x 8cm or inverse (several larger), corner-mounted rectos and versos on black card album leaves, mounted typescript captions throughout, together with 63 related photographs loose in paper wallet (pencilled captions versos) (5)
