Footnote
Note: Atabey 261; Blackmer 379. The facsimile made from the British Library copy of the original work, Moeures et fachons de faire des Turcz, published at Antwerp in 1533, with the sheets on a piece of cloth with the original prints measuring 15 feet wide. Stirling-Maxwell suggests that the original was either intended to be kept as a roll or possibly a wall hanging. To achieve publication in book form he made various adjustments to the size of the reproductions. The paper was chosen to resemble the colour and texture of the original.
