Faraday, Michael A.L.S. to William Hawes (1805-1885), [English businessman, banker, social reformer and soap manufacturer], introducing to him his friend, Edward Solly (1819–1886), [Chemist and antiquary], "Mr friend Mr Solly.. is attached to the Asiatic Society & has therefore all the products from India placed immediately under his hand for observation & analysis.
