dated Edinburgh 28th February 1611, on one page of vellum, oblong folio, with hand-cut stamps in imitation of the signatures of Queen Anne and King James, addressed to the Deputy Bailies of Dunfermline (Patrick Stewart of Keith and Robert Ure Senior of Sawling), transferring to William Schaw hereditary sesine in his father's estate, with remains of wax seal attached by vellum strip

Note: The charter describes, in detail, the land and buildings on the estate situated between Lochlevin and Purley, within the regality of Dunfermline, including an entire skiff on Loch Leven, and stating that the annual dues will be £2001. The document also states that the stamp signatures were applied by Thomas Bigholme, privy-brief to John Paip, writer to the Signet
