First separate edition in book form, second issue, with "Griffith Farran & Co's" on spine, and "w shed" for "wished" on p56, line 16, early ownership inscription on verso of frontispiece, original maroon cloth lettered in gilt, without advertisements at end (as often), small tear at head of spine, few small spots to binding
