Provenance: Signature to title-page of William Alabaster, dated 1590. Alabaster was an English poet and playwright. Latterly, Alabaster was a Doctor of Divinity at Cambridge University and Chaplain to King James I. The book is annotated in an early hand, possibly Alabaster's.
