Note: The notability of the Buckworths dates from a 17th century bishop, Theophilus Buckworth, a Fellow of Trinity College Cambridge, and Bishop of Dromore. The Buckworths held land in Moulton near Spalding. Lincolnshire and migrated to Canada in the 19th century where they played a formative role in the iron industry.
