Note: Following his graduation from the Univeristy of Edinburgh in 1960, George Mackay Brown pursued a course of post-graduate research into Gerard Manley Hopkins. This lot contains several of George Mackay Brown's essays on Hopkins, many with pencil notes, possibly added by his supervisor.
