Note: A very rare volume, no copies have been traced in the British Library or National Library of Scotland. The book received a very good review in The Farmer's Magazine, volume 23, p.342 (1822): "...a small treatise, published last year, under the title 'A Concise View of the Scottish Islands of the Hebrides...' ...Mr. Robertson is already favourably known to the agricultural public as the author of the Surveys of Mid-Lothian and Kincardineshire...and has here brought into a small compass a great deal of interesting information regarding these Islands..."
