Footnote
Note: A fine colour plate book on Spain and Portugal. "The frontispiece [Monument to Sir John Moore at Corunna] occurs in some but not all editions and may be always absent in copies bound from parts. In copies bound from parts therefore one expects to find fifty-three plates... the British Museum copy, containing plates with early watermarks, does not carry the frontispiece". [Abbey, Travel, 135]. It is clear that this copy is such a copy.
