Footnote
Note: Abbey, Life, (426) describes this work as it appeared in parts and the description does not correspond fully to the collation of these volumes. Published on the centenary of the Jacobite rising, Logan and McIan's work reflects the growing Victorian interest in a romanticised vision of Scotland. The work is dedicated to Queen Victoria.
