North-west corner of south pier, Prince's Dock, in course of construction, September, 1894, showing arrangement of concrete cylinders and chock piles there, and building on top of cylinders of south wall of centre basin. - Glasgow Harbour. Looking East from entrance, to Graving Docks, showing entrance to Prince's Dock. May, 1896. - Glasgow Harbour. View of Queen's Dock, looking east from west wall. May, 1896. - Glasgow Harbour. Note: Photographs depicting the construction of Glasgow docks. John Annan was the older son of Thomas Annan and took responsability for architectural photography following his father's death. His younger brother, J. Craig Annan, pursued portraiture.
The Scottish National Portrait Gallery has Glasgow Harbour. North-west corner of south pier, Prince's Dock, in course of construction, September, 1894 in its online database, explaining that the work is part of a series. However, no full records of the complete set of 8 photographs can be traced.
