Note: An unusual record and insight into Ferguson's lectures as professor of moral philosophy at the University of Edinburgh between February 1st and March 28th 1785. The lectures cover logic, the existence of God, the proprierty or impropriety of introducing speeches into history, the death and character of Epaminondas and the history of philosophy. The manuscript also comprises translations from Longinus, commentaries on Hebrews &c.
