Note: The Prince and Princess of Wales were in St. Petersburg in November 1894 to attend the funeral of the Russian Emperor Alexander III whose wife Marie was the Princess Alexandra's sister. They stayed on to attend the wedding of the new Emperor Nicholas II to Princess Alix of Hesse, granddaughter of Queen Victoria.
Francis Maynard, known to her friends as Daisy, was married to Lord Brooke and had an affair with the Prince of Wales until about 1895, two years after Lady Brooke became Countess of Warwick.
