The Anatomy of Melancholy. What it Is... by Democritus Junior. Oxford: Printed for Henry Cripps, [1638], fifth edition but with a fourth edition engraved title by C. le Blon bound in instead, 4to (274 x 174mm.), eighteenth-century half calf with marbled sides, woodcut initials and ornaments, rusthole in S1 affecting a few letters, with LL1 cancelled, occasional light spotting or discolouration, slightly rubbed, rebacked retaining original spine, corners repaired

Note: This text collates exactly as the fifth edition of 1638, the only difference being (apart from the different edition stated on the engraved title) that a cancelled leaf LL1 has been bound in by accident to the 1638 5th edition.
