At the heart of this edition of MODERN MADE is an important collection of Gerald Summers furniture. Modern &amp; Post-War Art also features strongly with works by Andy Warhol, Jack Goldstein, Alan Davie, Walter Sickert, Robert Bevan and Geoffrey Clarke. Further highlights include significant ceramics and craft by Dame Magdalene Odundo, Akiko Hirai, Ndidi Ekubia and Peter Chang, furniture by Alvar Aalto, Rick Owens and George Nakashima, and noteworthy art works by Contemporary artists Banksy, Ugo Rondinone, Igor Mitorag, Walter Dahn and Damien Hirst, to name but a few.
We were also proud to present a collection of spectacular Italian lighting designs. The design is steeped in a long and rich history of innovation and tradition. With the rise of Milan as a centre of design in the mid-20th century, designers took up the responsibility of creating fresh and exciting lighting solutions for the innovative domestic interiors they were creating. Viewed through a contemporary lens most of the works remain as fresh today as when they were first conceived, and due to their innovative approaches mid-century Italian lighting can still be a perfect accompaniment to any modern interior.
