Footnote
Since 1993, Kondó Takahiro has employed his original, now patented technique known as Silver Mist (gintekisai), in which a mixture of platinum, gold, silver, and glass crystallizes into fine granular droplets on the ceramic surface. The technique lends the porcelain a delicate shimmer and ever-changing visual effects created by these surface droplets. Conceived as an expression of "creating water from fire" through the medium of clay, Silver Mist exemplifies Kondō's innovative approach to contemporary porcelain.
