The Hillestak was Robin Day’s first affordable, mass-produced design for Hille. Created during the era of government Utility restrictions, it was intended as a practical and economical solution, remaining in production until 1967. Early versions featured U-shaped dowelled leg joints, a detail that was revised in 1956.
