Footnote
This pair were part of a set of fourteen chairs and a dining table commissioned by Sir Clive and Lady Sinclair for their home in Cambridge.
Makepeace stated: “I consulted with a structural engineer at Arup to establish the details for the stainless steel frames, keeping them as minimal as possible. This was especially important for the table, given the size of the top in relation to the base, to ensure stability and rigidity.”
