Welcome to our Spring 2025 edition of MODERN MADE. This May's auction will feature our usual closely curated selection of the best in Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art, Design, Craft, and Studio Ceramics.&nbsp;The May Edition of the sale will feature works by important Modern British artists including William Nicholson, Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, <a href="/auctions/modern-made-811/lot/124" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">L.S Lowry,</a> William Turnbull, Gillian Wise and Howard Hodgkin, as well as by European masters such as Ernst-Ludwig Kirchner and Emil Nolde. A number of these come from the collection of celebrated British gallerist Gillian Raffles, a trailblazing female dealer in London in the 1960s and 70s. It will also showcase significant ceramics from the collection of Professor John Chambers including works by Lucie Rie, Bernard Leach, Hans Coper, James Tower, Alison Britton and Michael Cardew.
