with built in percussion pistol, the barrel of octagonal form entirely decorated with gold flowers, the spear shaft similarly decorated with chevrons, four stage grip with gold foliate decoration, the haft of ebonised wood, the centre section covered in buff linen and with a conical turned shoe, a pin with chain link acts as a safety catch to the percussion cap barrel, leaf shaped blade with octagonal shaft, the weapon is fired by the impact of jabbing the spear
