Description
Cal.178 hand-wound 17 jewel movement, black dial with tritium baton indexes, white subsidiary dials for running seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph registers, outer rotating slid-rule calibration, white/tritium hands, stainless steel case with faceted shoulders, Breitling crown, rotating bezel. Case, dial and movement signed. On tan leather strap with plain buckle.
Accompanied by Breitling presentation case and Navitimer Instructions booklet.

First introduced in 1952, the Breitling Navitimer is one of Breitling’s most iconic models. Designed specifically for pilots, its signature slide rule bezel allows pilots to make in flight calculations such as distance, airspeed, and fuel consumption. A popular watch ever since initial release, it has been spotted on the wrists of many celebrities such as F1 driver Graham Hill and Jazz musician Miles Davis.
This example has particularly attractive aged luminous to the dial.
