Footnote
Purchased by the current owner in 2006 as a 'special occasion' watch for his daughters wedding, he recalls wearing it on that momentous day, then years later after it had remained unused since, realised he was unable to read the time on the original champagne dial with gold hands. Contacting his local Rolex retailer, they agreed the could purchase a more contrasting replacement white dial and returned the original to him. However, the owner stipulates he simply didn't have occasion to wear it again. Offered on the original (B7796) Rolex strap with little evidence of use, the case can be described as exceptional condition with no signs of being polished, also retaining a clear sticker to the reverse. This lot is an excellent opportunity to purchase an immaculate one owner Ref.5118 with well preserved, complete, 2006 sales accessories and spare dial/hands.
