Cal.282 mechanical 17 jewel movement, champagne dial with applied baton and index marker, index hands, yellow gold case with fluted bezel and band, numbered case back with Rolex emblem featuring a through slot, on a pink leather Rolex strap with gold plated Rolex buckle. Case, dial and movement signed. Accompanied by the original presentation case with slots for an additional three bands, four spare bands in various colours with gold plated Rolex buckles.

Released as part of the Orchid collection, the ‘Chameleon’ is one of the most aptly named Rolex creations for women of the era due to the clever use of easily changeable straps. Examples today with their original presentation box, straps and buckles are particularly rare to find.
The case of this watch is to the highest quality in design and construction. The inside caseback is stamped with the reference, Rolex logo, Swiss 18k gold mark and casemaker 115 within a hammerhead cartouche. Case maker 115 refers to famous artisans Favre & Perret (1934-2011), based in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, they made cases for Omega, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Patek Philippe, most notably the Ellipse model.
