Each 18 carat gold textured kite-shaped surmount, centrally collet-set with an oval cabochon opal, suspending detachable uneven long pendants set with an oval-cut sapphire and an oval cabochon opal with brilliant-cut diamond highlights, maker's marks AGS, UK hallmarks, post fittings, length 14.1cm

Jacqueline Stieger (born 1936) studied at Edinburgh College of Art from 1953-1959. She married the Austrian artist Alfred Gruber in 1966. Together they converted an old farm in East Yorkshire into a workshop and foundry for their art. Sadly Gruber died in 1972 but Stieger continues to use their shared maker's mark AGS. Her work is part of the permanent collections at Goldsmith's Hall and in the British Museum.
