1st: The ‘Rainbow confetti’ ring cast in 18 carat gold containing vari-coloured facetted sapphires, 2nd: The ‘Nina Rainbow’ ring centrally set with a line of vari-coloured circular-cut sapphires, cast in 18 carat gold, 3rd: The ‘Ramona Rainbow’ ring cast in 18 carat gold with vari-coloured sapphires with granulation details to the band, maker's marks PW, London hallmarks, ring sizes K½, K½ and P (3)
Provenance
Polly Wales is an independent British jewellery designer now based in Los Angeles. She championed the “Cast-not-Set” technique which she developed while working towards her Masters at The Royal College of Art. This process involves the gemstones and diamonds being mixed with the molten gold instead of later individually set. Wales relocated from her London studio to LA in 2015.
