The square dial with baton hour markers, within a brilliant-cut diamond bezel, to an integral strap of interwoven design, and a concealed clasp, diamonds approx. 0.70 carat total, dial and movement signed Rolex, bracelet with maker's mark E.C for Cambour, Paris, numbered, French assay marks, length 18.0cm

In the 1950s Rolex collaborated with various authorised case makers. In England, they worked with Dennison creating lines specifically of men's watches, typically in 9 carat gold. While the production of highly stylised women's watches, is almost exclusively found with French made cases. These design-led examples, focusing on the integration of jewellery and timepieces, were always in 18 carat gold and appear to have been made exclusively for the French market.
