Joy McCall is delighted to present the Spring Lalique auction, taking place on 30 April.The sale opens with A Passion for Glass - 48 lots from a distinguished private collection assembled by a London-based collector, representing the culmination of more than three decades of careful and deliberate acquisition. The group reflects the collector’s aesthetic preferences, encompassing clear, frosted, stained, opalescent and coloured vases, as well as finely crafted boxes. Alongside the collection are other vases including a Baies with rare brown enamelling and an elegant Montargis. There is a group of boxes with some unusual examples, a beautiful, varied range of seals and an assortment of jewellery, looking as wearable as when it was produced. If it is stunning tableware that you are looking for then this sale offers some pieces which are ready for immediate use. Finally, mention must be made of a unique enamelled box decorated with dragonflies and exceptional works executed using the cire perdue or lost wax method of casting and featuring foliate designs.This auction forms part of Lyon &amp; Turnbull’s 200th year celebrations, marking two centuries of expertise in presenting exceptional works to collectors.
