of Louis XV style, the cartouche shaped back with shell and scrolled acanthus carved cresting, the back, armrests and serpentine seat covered in close nailed needlework, incorporating 18th century elements, the back with central panel of two figures in a chariot being led through a river, the seat with floral and strapwork panel, the scrolled arm supports with acanthus carving, the shaped apron centred by carved shell and scrolled acanthus, on short shell and acanthus carved legs with scrolled toupee feet
