of Louis XV style, the arched top centred by a clock, the twin train movement striking on a bell, the circular white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, inscribed ‘Lefaucheux, a Paris’, with ribbon cast surmount and acanthus below, above a curved back with five crossbanded short drawers surrounding a recess, the slide out serpentine top with leather inset writing surface, flanked by acanthus cast rising sides, above three shaped frieze drawers, on square cabriole legs with acanthus cast mounts and sabots
